#BemoreTech Workshops by Fide and Spartanhack to push forward tech education amongst professionals

It is clear that business organizations, professional offices, and public administrations are immersed in a process of technological innovation to which the professionals who provide their services therein sometimes find it difficult to adapt.

Since its origins, Spartanhack  has defended, on the one hand, that education transforms the people who are going to change the world, and on the other, that the technological revolution is not optional and, therefore, either we change or we may be replaced.

This way of seeing things fits perfectly with the visionary approach that for so many years has been successfully implementing in the field of formation an institution and economic-legal think-tank as important as the Fundación para la Investigación sobre el Derecho y la Empresa (Fide).

It is clear that business organizations, professional offices, and public administrations are immersed in a process of technological innovation to which the professionals who provide their services therein sometimes find it difficult to adapt.

Therefore, and in order to help to solve this problem, the two institutions have been fortunate enough to collaborate by developing and launching the #BemoreTech Workshops during the months of October and November.

Thus, in this time we have been working during Tuesday afternoons in four workshops in which, together with high level and eager to learn attendees, we have addressed issues of the utmost relevance in the world of technology, always seeking practical applications to these disruptive technologies.

Indeed, these workshops dealt essentially with the following matters:
  1. Big Data and Artificial Intelligence: this workshop was given by Víctor García Pastor (CEO of Ingenieros Web and Cripto-Pay) and Antonio Serrano Acitores (CEO of Spartanhack), who after explaining the current situation of the digital revolution -analyzing the most innovative and exponential technologies-, focused on what is considered the oil of the 21st century, the data, its obtaining in a massive way and its treatment through algorithms (Big Data) as a conditio sine qua non to create Artificial Intelligence.
  2. Social Networks Management: given by Antonio Serrano Acitores, this workshop aimed, on the one hand, to explain in detail the functioning of the most important social networks, namely Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram; and on the other hand, to provide participants with the necessary tools to properly design a social media plan with which to achieve a greater presence of our company or personal brand on social networks, increase the base of followers and generate potential customers interested in our brand, product or service.
  3. Digital tools to increase productivity: also taught by Antonio Serrano Acitores, and with a markedly practical character, it sought to provide participants with a wide range of digital tools that will allow them in the future to do their work much faster and more efficiently.
  4. Digital Transformation: this workshop developed by Miguel Urrecha and Javier Gorospe, two industrial engineers from Igeneris (a consulting firm specialized in generating innovative business models), presented the highly specialized methodology they use to help companies to successfully transform themselves digitally by implementing these new business models.
In the different sessions, the aforementioned technologies were dealt with from a very practical point of view, presenting different use cases, all without losing the technical rigor that some of the subjects required.

In our opinion, the experience has been tremendously enriching both for the attendees and for the speakers themselves because, from the first moment, it generated a climate of trust in which everyone could share their knowledge, their concerns, possible solutions, and, in short, the way in which we can all face something as fascinating as the digital transformation.
