El próximo 6 de septiembre, participan en una sesión en Fide, Edward Charles Prado, Juez federal, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, junto a Martin Pinales, Abogado, Socio, Pinales Stachler


El papel del Poder Judicial en el sistema político de los Estados Unidos. Fide ha organizado esta sesión con el objetivo de analizar el sistema penal de los EE.UU. En particular, la sesión versará sobre el análisis del papel del Poder Judicial en el sistema político de los Estados Unidos, la independencia judicial y transparencia en los tribunales y la ética y responsabilidad legal.



La sesión se desarrollará en español, en la sede de Fide, el próximo 6 de septiembre, de 14.00 a 16.00 hs, con un tentempié informal en los primeros 30 minutos. Para poder asistir es imprescindible confirmar asistencia a victoria.dallago@fidefundacion.es

Bio:
- Judge Edward Charles Prado, is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Native to San Antonio, Judge Prado has long served in government and has participated in community and law-related organizations, and traveled extensively to teach others about our legal system. He was one of six recipients to receive the Texas Exes 2009 Distinguished Alumnus Award. Before being nominated by President Ronald Reagan to U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, Judge Prado was as a Circuit Court Judge. Prior to that, he was an Assistant District Attorney for Bexar County before becoming an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Western District of Texas, representing low-income clients. Judge Prado obtained his bachelor's degree from University of Texas at Austin and graduated from Texas Law with his Juris Doctor degree and served in the United States Army Reserves. He speaks fluent Spanish. 

- Martin Pinales, Pinales Stachler, has been successfully defending individuals and companies in federal and state courts throughout the United States for over 45 years.
